LAHORE; The Punjab government has decided to reinstate the board examination system for 8th-grade students across the province. This decision was made during an important meeting chaired by Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat.
The meeting, held with the Board of Governors of PECTAA, discussed various aspects of educational reforms.
Addressing the gathering, the provincial minister announced the restoration of the 8th class board exams, which were discontinued five years ago.
In addition to this move, it was also decided to strengthen the internal examination system for grades 5 and 7. The education minister directed officials to make assessments for classes 5 to 7 more robust and effective.
He further stated that PECTAA would be responsible for conducting the 8th class board exams in Punjab and instructed that a comprehensive strategy be prepared within the next 30 days to implement this plan.
These steps aim to raise educational standards and ensure a more rigorous evaluation process for students at critical stages of their schooling.
