Islamabad: A district and sessions court in Islamabad has acquitted PTI leader Asad Qaisar in the Azadi March case.
The case was heard on Thursday, where Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah announced the verdict, accepting Qaisar’s plea for acquittal.
The case had been registered at the Kohsar police station against multiple PTI leaders in connection with their participation in the Azadi March. Notably, several other party leaders have already been cleared of charges in the same matter.
This decision marks yet another relief for PTI leaders facing legal challenges stemming from political protests.
The court’s ruling brings an end to the proceedings against Asad Qaisar in this case, adding to the series of acquittals PTI leaders have secured in recent months.
