Islamabad (web-Desk) Defending champion Tadej Pogacar clinched stage four of the Tour de France, narrowly beating race leader Mathieu van der Poel at the finish line to claim his 100th career victory.
The 174.2km stage from Amiens to Rouen ended in a dramatic sprint involving the top three riders in the general classification.
Pogacar, the Slovenian world champion, outpaced Dutchman Van der Poel, while Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard secured third place.
Although Van der Poel keeps the yellow jersey, Pogacar’s triumph brings him level with the Dutch rider at the top of the overall standings.
The three-time Tour de France winner also attempted a bold solo move earlier, showcasing his determination to dominate the race once again.
