Distribution of reserved seats by Election Commission (EC) in KP assembly has been challenged in PHC by PML-N.
PML-N has filed petition through Barrister Saqib Raza in PHC taking the plea that PML-N has seven seats in KP assembly. Election Commission has given 10 reserved seats to JUI-F against seven general seats while PML-N has been given 8 reserved seats against 7 general seats.
It was further said in the petition PML-N has won 6 seats in KP. One independent MPA joined PML-N within three days. EC has given reserved seats to PML-N in proportion to 6 general seats.
PML-N has prayed the court that EC order regarding distribution of reserved seats be declared null and void. Court should issue orders to EC for distribution of seats again. The members elected on reserved seats be stopped from taking oath till the final decision of this petition.
