Lahore: The 78th meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Board of Governors was held at the National Cricket Academy under the chairmanship of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. During the session, the board unanimously approved budget estimates totaling Rs 18.30 billion for the current financial year. Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza briefed the members on the key features of the budget.
The meeting expressed satisfaction over the utilization of the 2024-25 fiscal year budget and ratified the decisions taken during the previous board meeting. It was decided that the regions demonstrating outstanding performance in cricket promotion would be duly encouraged each year, with awards to be presented to the top-performing regions. The board also resolved to implement regular monitoring of staff performance.
Among those present at the meeting were Board of Governors members Zaheer Abbas, Sajjad Ali Khokhar, Zafarullah, Tariq Sarwar, PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer, Director Media and Communication Aamer Mir, Director Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi, and Head of Women’s Cricket Rafia Haider. Anwar Ghani, Mustafa Ramday, Daniyal Gilani, Anwar Ahmed Khan, Dr. Shafi Rehman, and Director International Cricket Usman Wahla participated via video link.
The meeting concluded with a prayer led by Board of Governors member Anwar Ghani.
