Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will lead Pakistan’s delegation to the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), scheduled to take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from July 3 to 4, 2025. The high-level summit, themed “New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate Resilient Future,” will bring together regional leaders to deliberate on pressing economic, environmental, and connectivity challenges.
The Prime Minister is expected to present Pakistan’s stance on major regional and global developments while reiterating the country’s commitment to the ECO Vision 2025. His address will emphasize the importance of boosting intra-regional trade, advancing transport and energy linkages, and promoting sustainable development among member states.
On the sidelines of the summit, Prime Minister Sharif will also hold bilateral meetings with fellow ECO leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest, further strengthening Pakistan’s ties within the regional bloc.
