ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday reinstated reserved seats of National Assembly (NA) and all the four Provincial Assemblies (PAs).
According to sources, ECP while announcing important decision in the light of Supreme Court (SC) recent order restored the reserved seats of SC and all the four provincial assemblies.
ECP has reinstated a total of 74 seats, including 19 in the National Assembly, 25 in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, 27 in the Punjab Assembly, and 3 in the Sindh Assembly.
ECP has taken back notifications dated 24 and 29 July of 2024. Return of PTI candidates to reserved seats of National Assembly and provincial assemblies of Punjab, Sindh, KP and Balochistan stands nullified. ECP has issued this notification in the light of SC orders dated June 27, 2025;
