BEIJING (MNN); China has declared that starting February 17, ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom will be eligible for visa-free entry.
Under the new policy, travelers carrying regular passports from both countries will be allowed to enter China without obtaining a visa in advance, subject to the specific terms and duration set by Chinese authorities.
The move is seen as part of Beijing’s broader efforts to facilitate travel, boost tourism, and strengthen people-to-people exchanges with Western nations. Further details regarding the permitted length of stay and applicable travel purposes are expected to be outlined by Chinese officials.
