News Desk (MNN); Social media influencer Naila Raja has issued her first detailed public statement following her marriage to former Pakistan international cricketer Imad Wasim, addressing ongoing criticism, speculation, and reports about her personal life.
In a lengthy message posted on Instagram, Raja described her marriage as one of the best decisions of her life and spoke openly about the emotional strain caused by online scrutiny. She said that while gaining views and trending on social media may seem easy, the real-life consequences can be deeply painful.
Raja noted that only those who endure such public pressure can truly understand its impact, adding that even strong individuals have faced separation and intense criticism due to social media narratives.
Describing herself as an ordinary woman, she said she built her life and career through hard work and initially spoke out because she believed there had been a misunderstanding. However, she claimed that despite defending herself, her character and dignity were repeatedly questioned.
According to Raja, the situation escalated when some journalists discussed her private life and unauthorized videos were circulated online, extending criticism to her family and in-laws.
Reaffirming her stance, she said she stands by her decision despite the backlash. She also expressed willingness to accept Imad Wasim’s children wholeheartedly if his relationship with them is restored in the future.
“If Allah reunites us with his children, with the consent of everyone involved, I will welcome them with an open heart. I will care for them, love them, and raise them with kindness, respect, and responsibility alongside him,” she wrote.
Her statement follows continued public debate after Imad Wasim confirmed his second marriage. His former wife, Sania Ashfaque, earlier shared wedding videos and emotional posts online, seeking what she described as justice for her children and alleging unfair treatment.
In subsequent remarks, Ashfaque hinted at the involvement of a third person in the breakdown of her marriage and made further allegations related to events in December 2023. No official legal proceedings have been confirmed so far.
Imad Wasim acknowledged that his first marriage was unsuccessful and described it as the most difficult period of his life. However, he said it brought him three children, whom he called the greatest blessing of his life, emphasizing that his love for them remains unchanged.
He added that he solemnized his nikah with Naila Raja after consulting his parents and described the decision as a thoughtful step toward building a peaceful and dignified life.
Imad Wasim and Sania Ashfaque were married in August 2019 and announced their separation in December 2025. Speculation about his relationship with Raja began in July 2025 when the two were seen together in London.
Public reaction on social media remains divided, with some users expressing sympathy for Ashfaque and urging that the children’s welfare be prioritized, while others have called for restraint, labeling it a private family matter.
