LAHORE: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has introduced a special “Maryam Ko Batain” initiative set to roll out at the start of Ramazan, aimed at delivering swift financial relief to deserving families.
“The programme will be launched from the first of Ramazan to ensure prompt support for people facing financial hardship. Under the initiative, eligible individuals will be able to receive financial assistance of up to Rs10,000 within 24 hours,” the chief minister stated in a post on X on Monday.
She announced that a dedicated helpline 1000 will be operational from the beginning of Ramazan, allowing those in need to apply for support.
Applicants may also seek assistance by submitting their CNIC number through an online portal or mobile application, where their details will be verified through a transparent digital system.
According to the chief minister, the scheme will feature live tracking, digital documentation, and monitoring mechanisms to maintain transparency.
Individuals already registered in the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) database will receive payments within 24 hours, while new applicants will undergo verification and registration within four days.
Ms Nawaz affirmed that the provincial government would ensure that all deserving citizens have access to state assistance during Ramazan.
