ISLAMABAD (MNN); Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday held a telephone conversation with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and appreciated the Gulf nation’s continued and steadfast support for Pakistan.
According to an official statement, the discussion was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, during which the two leaders fondly recalled their recent meetings in Islamabad and Rahim Yar Khan last month.
The prime minister commended the UAE’s consistent backing, saying it had played a key role in helping Pakistan overcome economic and other challenges. He described this support as a reflection of the historic and brotherly relations shared by the leadership and peoples of both countries.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and enhancing collaboration across various sectors.
The leaders also exchanged views on other issues of common interest and agreed to maintain close coordination in the future.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Shehbaz described the interaction as a warm conversation with his “dear brother” Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He said they reaffirmed their resolve to deepen historic fraternal ties and expand cooperation for the mutual benefit of Pakistan and the UAE, while expressing gratitude for the UAE’s unwavering support during challenging times.
