ISLAMABAD (MNN); The federal government has placed YouTuber Adil Farooq Raja on the Fourth Schedule under the Anti-Terrorism Act over alleged involvement in anti-state activities, officials confirmed on Saturday.
The decision was approved by the federal cabinet, after which the Ministry of Interior issued a formal notification to enforce the move.
According to the notification, the action was taken due to Raja’s alleged role in spreading anti-state narratives through online platforms. Authorities stated that his activities were considered a serious threat to Pakistan’s security, integrity and public order.
The Interior Ministry said proceedings against Raja were initiated under the Anti-Terrorism Act, adding that his inclusion in the Fourth Schedule was deemed necessary in the interest of national security and public safety.
The notification further stated that any additional action, if required, would be taken strictly in accordance with the law.
