PESHAWAR (MNN); Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is set to arrive in Lahore on Friday, December 26, for a three-day visit, sources said
During his stay, the chief minister is expected to hold meetings with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders, parliamentarians and party ticket holders. A press conference at the Punjab Assembly is also part of the proposed schedule.
Sources said CM Afridi will stay at Abdalain Society in Johar Town. He is also likely to visit Zaman Park, Liberty and GPO Chowk during the visit.
The chief minister is expected to call on senior PTI leaders at their residences, including Parvez Elahi, Mahmoodur Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry and Hammad Azhar.
According to sources, CM Afridi is also likely to meet former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at Kot Lakhpat Jail.
He will visit the Punjab Assembly, where he is expected to meet PTI lawmakers and address a press conference.
On December 27, the chief minister is scheduled to address lawyers at the Lahore High Court. He is expected to return to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on December 28. Officials said the programme is subject to change.
