Web Desk (MNN); The trailer for the upcoming adult comedy Mastiii 4 has ignited a heated debate online, drawing sharp criticism for its suggestive humor and perceived vulgarity.
The preview, which dropped on November 4, features the return of the franchise’s original trio — Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani — along with new cast members Nargis Fakhri, Arshad Warsi, and Tusshar Kapoor.
Many social media users described the trailer as “cheap” and “outdated,” with some calling out its tone as disrespectful, especially toward women. Times of India One critic on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “How do they face the women in their home after making such films?”
Responding to the backlash, director Milap Zaveri defended his film by urging people not to judge based only on the trailer. He stated that the final film may pleasantly surprise viewers, adding that “women have very strong roles and POV (point of view).”
Zaveri also responded calmly to an accusation calling the trailer “crap,” writing on social media: “Respect your opinion. Hopefully audiences will enjoy it.”
Despite the controversy, the makers remain confident. Mastiii 4 is produced by Zee Studios, Waveband Productions, Maruti International, and Balaji Motion Pictures, and is scheduled to release on November 21, 2025.
