KARACHI (MNN); A high-level delegation from Azerbaijan and Bangladesh visited key institutions of Pakistan’s capital market, including the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL), and the Pakistan Stock Brokers Association (PSBA).
The delegation included Mr. Ruslan Alakbar Khalilov, CEO Baku Stock Exchange; Ogtay Gasimov, Deputy CEO Baku Stock Exchange; Mr. Orkhan Baghirov, Chairman Azerbaijan Stock Market Participants Association; Mr. Khurram Bhatti, President Pakistan–Azerbaijan Chamber; Mr. Muhammad Asadur Rehman, Managing Director Dhaka Stock Exchange; and Mr. Minhaz Mannan Emon, Board Member Dhaka Stock Exchange.
The visit aimed to provide insight into Pakistan’s capital market operations, explore investment opportunities, and identify avenues for joint collaboration to expand investor bases across exchanges. The delegation was briefed on technology integration, digitalization of account opening processes, and various compliance and regulatory requirements.
During the visit to the Pakistan Stock Brokers Association, a detailed meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Bilal Farooq Zardi, CEO PSBA, and Mr. Munir Khanani, Chairman PSBA.
